I'm a sucker for a good level name. You Can't Teach An Old Frog New Tricks is hilarious (and this coming from someone who normally hates puns/wordplay), and so are monikers like Pain (because it is), Lemmings, etc. The original CC expanded my vocabulary a bit (and I was shocked to find out that "Yorkhouse" is apparently not a real word).

Sometimes they're really important aesthetic decisions; "Caves" turns a somewhat visually bland level into something that's actually very entertaining to play (I'm not saying that it's not a good puzzle in and of itself, just that the title adds something).

I think a good level name helps the story of a levelset. Sometimes a level name is just confusing (like Thief, You've Taken All That Was Me), and sometimes it adds a level of puzzle (like Oorto Geld).

I gave up trying to think of good titles a long time ago. Let us analyze the titles of the TS0 levels.

References to music/movies/TV/video games: 9

Geographical/geological descriptions or essentially anything that relates to actual locations: 4 (Crete in Winter is one of my favorite titles, but you need to have played the Lake in Winter to understand it fully)

Reference to an idea or concept: 3

Reference to what is actually in the level: 3

Sequels: 1

Nonsense: 1

Actual creativity: 1, though, I stole the title from my cousin's level

Screw titles Thumbs up

Seriously? That's the title of a level?

All I can say is: BEST TITLE EVER. I have no idea what the level looks like or what it's like to play it, but i have to say this: no level, no matter how good, can ever live up to a title like that.

It's "Thief, You've Taken All That Was Me", and it's in TS0. It's a great level, BTW. I hope it's in CCLP1.

Oh, damn. I thought you were naming two separate levels. Never mind, then. "Thief, You've Taken All That Was Me" makes sense, I suppose, but it's nowhere near the great title that "You've Taken All That Was Me" is.

Way to kill my CCZone high.

A quick shout-out to level designers: if you make a level called "You've Taken All That Was Me," I will cast my ballot for it come time for CCLP1 voting.

I've never understood some of the CC1 titles, like "Socialist Action". I mean, how is it relevant to the level at all...

And let's not forget CCLP3's Lichenstein!

That's true: "Socialist Action" is pretty meaningless, as far as I can tell. It certainly sounds cool, though.

I thought Lichenstein was a reference to the artist (admittedly, it's still somewhat quizzical even if that's the case, but...)
