Hell if i know.

When will CCLP5 be released?

RE: Ask a dumb question, get a dumb answer - Hash1 - 14-Feb-2021

Whenever Cowman feels like it.

Is Chip's Challenge secretly for a bunch of 25 - 35 year olds who can't afford buying loads of newer games and hang on to nostalgia and saying "it's called retro gaming, bro. You just don't get it". Before sitting their unemployed asses on the sofa and picking up their controller (hooked up to a PC and configured to play CC, which is on a Smart TV displaying their PC monitor) with one hand, and a beer bottle with another, as they smell of "I shower every three, sometimes four days, and I never change clothes until I shower", and their sofa starting to replicate such smell?

Apparently yes, it took me slightly more than ten days to post the pathetically simple answer that you are reading rigth now. But i say no because i always appreciate a good game, it doesn't matter if it is a "prehistoric thing or a super modern galactic stuff". As for other users of this site...

What do you think of this "dance"? Don't think that is sad that it was left out of CC2?

It's the dance of the Nerds! I can even hear him making "nerd noises" as he does it.

Would it be a good idea if, in CC3, there were game elements from the old game Boulder Dash? This would mean in a CC level you could have boulders and diamonds which fall to the bottom of the screen if nothing is underneath them and crush any Chip or creature they land on? I know this would be a bit weird given that it would be a case of selective gravity but being able to make CC and Boulder Dash crossover levels might arise to some fun levels.

RE: Ask a dumb question, get a dumb answer - Hash1 - 04-Mar-2021

Erm... i’m thinking maybe dirt stopping them boulder tiles, and the boulder tiles having an arrow or some indication where they fall once the dirt (or other obstacle) is removed. Or selecting a direction in which all boulder falls within a level. If not, all boulders just fall south.
Maybe this last option would be the most logical or less of a hassle to deal with, but the first option would be more of a designer’s dream. Also, we’d first have to explain why only boulders are affected by gravity, and why gravity in CC doesn’t mean falling to the floor, but instead, falling to one side of the room/level. Also, a helmet would be needed for not getting crushed by the boulder. Under no circumstance should Chip just casually not get crushed by the boulder... He’s vulnerable to almost everything.

If you paint a tomato blue, would it accept its new color or still consider itself red at heart?

RE: Ask a dumb question, get a dumb answer - GavinD - 06-Mar-2021

It will look like a blue tomato but it will still have the personality of a red one.

If you painted a tomato blue and injected blue dye into it to make it blue on the inside too, would that make it behave like a blue tomato?

RE: Ask a dumb question, get a dumb answer - Hash1 - 07-Mar-2021

It becomes, in every aspect, an 'every color but blue' tomato.

Aren't canopies pointless from Chip/Melinda point of view? It's a roof, Chip or Melinda would still be able to see what's under, right??

RE: Ask a dumb question, get a dumb answer - GavinD - 18-Mar-2021

They can indeed, but they have no free will. They have chips in their brains so every time we press a key on their keyboard that sends a signal to the chip that forces their leg muscles to walk in that direction. So as much as they'd like to say "hey there's fire under this canopy!" they are unable to since when they are "on duty" the chips in their brains are set to "on" so they are unable to move unless our keyboards tell them to. The only words the brain chips lets them say is "oof" and "woop". That also means a sadistic player can have them walk into fire or water 100 times in a row to burn/drown them and there's nothing they can do about it. Chip has said in an interview it hurts like hell to be burned or crushed between giant blocks or eaten alive by a giant monster which is made up entirely of sharp teeth, force-floors that go round and round also make him feel very sick, but he is willing to keep doing it to impress Melinda. Melinda has said she takes strong painkillers before going on duty.

Is Chip the biggest simp in gaming history since everything he goes through is for Melinda?

The biggest simp is Mario actually you Neanderthal.

Did Discord kill the forum star?

RE: Ask a dumb question, get a dumb answer - Hash1 - 04-Oct-2021

We doin’ this again? Let’s go!

Obviously, and not only this forum, but almost every other forum.

Forums probably took over whatever previously was in place for group discussion, and now group instant messaging takes over forums, and in 10 years, group instant messaging will be replaced by chip-in-brain group telepathic messaging.
