Quick question - Andante - 27-Apr-2017

What is a .DAC file?

Quick question - Ihavenoname248 - 27-Apr-2017

A .dac file is a file that gives Tile World some information about a set. Specifically, it must contain the levelset it points to in the "data" folder, and can contain the ruleset to be played (MS or Lynx), whether passwords should be used, and a couple other things I don't remember at the moment. They're mostly used to run the same set in both rulesets, without needing to update two copies with each update.

Ahhh, that's probably why I didn't know. I never use TileWorld.

Okay, so what is a file that ends .dac.tws?? I have both .dac and .dac.tws, and they're completely different from each other.

Thanks, noname!

Quick question - Ihavenoname248 - 28-Apr-2017

.dac.tws is just a TWS file for a set run through a DAC file. TWS is the solution and score file for a given set- the convenience of being able to play back the fastest solution trumps having to record all attempts to me, for sure.

Glad I could help!
