Corrupt-a-wish - random 8 - 19-Feb-2014 Granted. They now post 4-6 times within a few hours of one of your posts before letting the topic sink down the board for another week until you post again. I wish the lesson levels were included in the CC1 Hurt and Heal thread. Corrupt-a-wish - ajmiam - 19-Feb-2014 Granted, but all they do is prolong the game because everyone but you does nothing but hurt them until they're all gone. I wish Dave and Rock would visit CCZone again. (They haven't been active since January.) Corrupt-a-wish - Earthling - 23-Feb-2014 Granted, but then Josh stops visiting. I wish the Double the Last Number thread would get posted in more often. Corrupt-a-wish - random 8 - 23-Feb-2014 Granted, but every new post has an error. I wish the CC Zone themes came back. Corrupt-a-wish - M11k4 - 28-Feb-2014 Granted, but they would not be available in your country. I wish people considered this wish clever and voted up on it. Corrupt-a-wish - BigOto2 - 04-Mar-2014 Granted, but Tom will consider it illegitimate and revoke it. I wish I didn't have a 10-page paper due next week. Corrupt-a-wish - random 8 - 05-Mar-2014 Granted. It has turned into a 15-page paper due tomorrow, so you no longer have a 10-page paper due next week. I wish the Guess the Next Poster thread didn't get locked. Corrupt-a-wish - Earthling - 06-Mar-2014 Yeah me too. Okay, granted, Corrupt-a-wish, Everyone is Administrator, and Hurt and Heal: Locations get locked instead. (I originally typed licked instead of locked. ) I wish wishes were incorruptible. 46 days later: And that someone would post in this thread. 64 days: still waiting... 78 days: Oh, I thought of a better corruption: Instead of being locked, it's deleted completely, and everyone who posted in it is banned. 101 days: Wonder how long I can keep this up? 162 days: ... 365 days: Wow, a whole year. 459 days: I wish for all the violins to stop and for whirled peas. 490 days: I'm going crazy sitting here alone at the end of this thread! I'm gonna start spouting off trochees soon! 495 days: CHALLENGE SILLY DANCER RUBBER WALKER BUTTON RANDOM TWILIGHT SPARKLE DESERT WONDER PLUTO 518 days: ... 537 days: ... 592 days: Dum-dum-deedle-dee-diddle-doo-dum 647 days: Y'know, it actually is kind of peaceful sitting here at the end of the thread, gazing out over the emptiness. 737 days: Over two years now. 790 days: Like sitting on the edge of a cliff, looking out over the ocean, watching the seagulls. 796 days: Though seagulls can be noisy. 1000 days: Ten hundred days. Been a long time. 1001 days: I'll be sitting here until I'm old. 1002 days: I'll be sitting here until Ragnarök. 1003 days: I'll be sitting here until the sun turns into a red giant and swallows up the earth. 1004 days: I'll be sitting here until the stars die and the universe goes dark. 1005 days: I'll be sitting here until the rock in the land of Svithjod has been worn away. 1024 days: Two to the tenth! 1045 days: It occurs to me that the fact that my wish for wishes to be incorruptible has never been corrupted could be taken as fulfillment of my wish. 1096 days: Three. Three years. 1136 days: I mean, think of it! My wish is the only one in this thread that hasn't been corrupted! 1155 days: I HAVE BEATEN THE ODDS! 1167 days: (Poor odds.) 1285 days: Oh hey, it's been 1285 days! 1292 days: Not that there's anything particularly significant about that milestone. 1297 days: I just felt like mentioning it. 1303 days: And really, what's so special about any of these milestones anyway? 1310 days: 1000 is just a number whose prime factorization consists entirely of 2's and 5's. 1315 days: While 1024 consists entirely of 2's. 1318 days: The forum got updated and now all the lines after 1002 days are double-spaced. 1323 days: And 365 days is just when the Earth happens to be in approximately the same location relative to the sun as when I first posted. 1344 days: See, there's really no point to any of this. 1352 days: I'm just pointlessly editing an old forum post, just because I feel like it. 1358 days: All is vanity and grasping for the wind. 1461 days: Four orbits! 1740 days: Oh look, I can make lines single-spaced by pressing shift+enter rather than just enter. 1744 days: This is an important discovery which will go down in history as my great contribution to humanity's knowledge. 1753 days: Though it still doesn't explain why the lines were single-spaced before 1003 days. 1759 days: Now, I could go back and change all those lines to single-spaced. 1766 days: I'm not going to, though. 1779 days: I'll leave it the way it is for posterity. 1828 days: Five years. 1832 days: (And two days. Six now.) 1835 days: That's half a decade! 1845 days: It's a twentieth of a century! 1851 days: More than a fifth of my life so far! 1863 days: It's a long time. 2120 days: And it keeps getting longer. 2146 days: Hi on the new forum! 2192 days: Aaaand six years. 2213 days: Funny, I can still make new lines single-spaced, but all the old ones are double-spaced now. 2270 days: The quirks of forum software. 2382 days: The inscrutable machinations of electronical computational devices. 2473 days: There's an old version of one popular forum software in which two posts in a thread can actually change their order in certain circumstances. 2495 days: I've seen this cause confusion, hilarity, and even drama. 2505 days: Sometimes our carefully organized sand behaves in mysterious ways. 2517 days: (That's the second time I've linked to xkcd here...) 2557 days: Wow, a whole week! 2564 days: Of years, that is. 2598 days: That'd be 365 of the normal ones, I guess. 2633 days: Plus a couple extra days due to leap years. 2767 days: Yes, I'm playing fast and loose with time units. 2795 days: A week of years is an ancient concept, though. 2875 days: Mentioned in the bible, for example. 2889 days: Anyways... 2922 days: We have reached the eighth year. 2944 days: Or the eigth year, maybe. 2976 days: (Y'know, like in that CC1 level where it's misspelled.) 2991 days: Actually, I think I made a fencepost error. 2998 days: When eight years have passed, that's actually the end of the eighth year. 3005 days: So it would've been more accurate to say that we have reached the ninth year. 3141 days: Ooh, ⌊1000π⌋ days! 3156 days: Now if I was really dedicated I would've waited until it was exactly 3141.5926535897... days to make that edit. 3167 days: Alas, my dedication does not extend that many decimal places. 3183 days: I would've had to edit it ten minutes before midnight to do it right. 3200 days: Oh well. 3287 days: Now it's been nine years, i.e. nine years have passed and we are entering the TENTH YEAR wow!!! 3396 days: Maybe I should plan a party. 3603 days: That's a lot of work though. 3648 days: Ooh, here we go... 3649 days: It has been... 3650 days: ...a whole... 3651 days: ...entire... 3653 days: ...DECADE!!! 3683 days: So, um... 3709 days: yeah time passes, that's a thing. |
