To second what Josh said, the community is still active. Not only does a lot of discussion take place on Skype, but most people are busy with CCLP4 voting and so everything else to do with the game is on the backburner right now (and thus there's nothing really to post about).
On another note: if you're bored with both the CC Zone awards leaderboard and custom levels, you could always try your hand at the actual CC leaderboards for a new experience that you might enjoy
(That also goes for you, whoever else ends up reading this comment. Yes, you! There's a reason people have been improving their CC scores for over 20 years: it's fun!)
