I have been "mining" CureCoin. This is done through the Folding@Home organization where you allow your CPU and GPU to work on folding proteins for medical/scientific research. See: https://foldingathome.org/
Cure isn't worth much, but it is nice to have some form of return for all of the energy spent processing those numbers.
