CCTools 3.0
#1
After many years of not working on anything CCTools related, I've finally come back and created a 3.0 release!

Some of the major changes include:
  • A new tool, CC2Edit is included for Chip's Challenge 2 map and script editing.
  • CCHack has been given the same rewrite treatment that the rest of the tools got for 2.0.  This means its now compatible with macOS and Linux, has a complete UI redesign, and a several new and improved features.
  • Tab management in CCEdit and CC2Edit has been reworked to be more sane and easier to use.
  • CCEdit Playtesting and CCPlay now support running CHIPS.EXE on 64-bit Windows platforms via WineVDM.  CCPlay also now has better support for Java-based tools such as SuperCC and CCCreator.
  • CCEdit's Undo and Redo now work across the whole levelset.
  • A large variety of fixes, UI enhancements, etc.  You can see a more detailed list of changes and additions at the CCTools changelog.

You can download the latest release at https://cctools.zrax.net/download.html.  Please send any feedback, bugs, feature requests, etc. to me either here or on github (https://github.com/zrax/cctools).

Beta 3 is now available for download.  Thanks again for all the bug reports and suggestions!  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to incorporate all the suggestions provided this round, but I've placed the ones I didn't get to (but still plan to) into the Issues List.  Feel free to update and add requests and bug reports there as well.

Please see the changelog for a complete list of fixes and changes.

How the time flies!  It's been a busy year, but I found some time to come back and make another release...  This version is Release Candidate 1 for CCTools 3.0, meaning I won't be adding any new features -- just bug fixes -- until 3.0 final is released.  As it is, this version is also mostly a bug fix release, but it also adds some new minor features and Quality of Life enhancements.

As usual, you can see the complete change log at https://cctools.zrax.net/changelog.txt, and you can download the release either from cctools.zrax.net or from GitHub

Hopefully 3.1 won't take as long from here ;)
