DAC files?

So, I can't open up CCLP3 in the editor because it doesn't read dac files. What are dac files? and how do I use them/ edit them? (either version btw, MS or Lynx they're both dac)

Is there a dat or ccl version of CCLP3?

Yes, the CCLP3 DAT file should be in the DATA folder of your Tile World folder; the DAC files are used by Tile World to tell it whether to play in MS or Lynx.
