...well, Fahrenheit has its advantages too. It's more precise, and though it may just be a happy coincidence, Fahrenheit temperatures actually tend to accord more to a 0-100 scale (with a handful of exceptions). It's easier to think of a 98 (F) degree day as "hot" than it is to think of a 27 © day.
