cloning chip glitch

This is a dumb question but how to do enable the split screen? I don't plan on using that for my level in question, and I'm no longer bothering with the clone glitch at all for this level, but I'd still like to know.

Open the level in the editor. Open the "File" menu, and select properties (the same thing you use to give the level a name). You should see three options somewhere in the window: 9*9, 10*10 and Split. Select Split, click OK and you're done.
