Often when I make levels, it's getting started which is the tricky part. I find once I've got started the ideas just flow and I just build on it.
I have found if I try to convert one of my levels for CC1 over to CC2 as accurately as I can, I find that (due to many reasons) it just won't work in CC2. So I make little modifications to make it work and I end up with a completely different level
For example my CC2 level 33 came about by trying to convert level 25 from CheeseT1.dat, but they are both completely different:
