Chuck's Challenge Trivia
#1
Edit: The first eighth posts in this thread were originally posted in the CC Pointless Trivia Thread until moderator Sharpeye468 split them into their own tread. The "also" in the following text refers to this post that talked about the color pattern but aplied to Chip's Challenge 2.

In relation to Chuck's Challenge 3D, the items added to that game that also follows the red, blue, yellow and green scheme are:
 - Blocks
 - Hold buttons and their respective "posts".
 - Toggle buttons and their respective "posts".
 - The squishy enemies (the round plant like monsters that expels noxious fumes).
On a side note, the legs enemies (the equivalent of the walker) comes in red, green, and blue, but not yellow.

New version of Chuck's Challenge is apparently being released on Steam on Monday I believe. As well as receiving a make over, it will have 2 new official level packs made up of user-created levels including one of mine :D

And it is called Chuck's Challenge 3D 2020! Apparently only available for PC, Mac & Linux (and not Android), the two new sets are called "Gelato" (with a Squishy as an icon) and "Haupia" (with Woop himself as an icon) and adds five new hats. Would like a lot to play this. Congratulations Gavin!

Even better, the levels for the new packs had already been chosen but the develops liked one of my levels so much they wanted to replace one of the existing levels with the one I made.

Features of CC3D2020 include being able to turn back time for example if you hit a monster or push a block into a corner, you can simply retract your last few moves instead of starting over. You can also zoom out to see most/all of the level at once instead of having limited vision as is with Chips Challenge.

Shares some of the elements as Chips Challenge but has some unique ones too allowing for levels you couldn't make in Chips Challenge.

If you like Chips Challenge (you prob do if you are here) then I would recommend trying Chucks Challenge too.

The following is a list of the level packs of Chuck's Challenge 3D (including the new ones from the 2020 DLC), structured as:
 Name (Icon)
 Meaning

 Asida (Nibbles)
Dish with origins from medieval al-Andalus, made of a cooked wheat flour lump of dough, sometimes with added butter or honey. Similar in texture to gruel, it is eaten in many North African and Middle Eastern countries.

 Bebinca (Blinky)
A traditional Indian pudding made with coconut milk and garnished with almonds, and served warm.

 Clottie (Omni)
Thick cream made by indirectly heating full-cream cow's milk using steam or a water bath and then leaving it in shallow pans to cool slowly. During this time, the cream content rises to the surface and forms "clots" or "clouts", hence the name.

 Dobos (Snappy)
Hungarian sponge cake layered with chocolate, butter cream and topped with caramel. The layered pastry is named after its inventor, Hungarian chef József C. Dobos, a delicatessen owner in Budapest.

 Eclair (Spitter)
An oblong, chocolate-covered, cream-filled pastry.

 Flummery (Blue golem)
A custard; any of several bland, gelatinous foodstuffs, usually made from stewed fruit and thickened with oatmeal, cornstarch or flour.

 Gelato (Squishy)
An Italian variant of ice cream made from milk and sugar, combined with other flavourings. The ingredients are cooled while stirring to break up ice crystals as they form.

 Haupia (Woop)
A traditional Hawaiian dessert based on coconut milk and starch, somewhat resembling blancmange.

Yes, all the packs are named after sweets and desserts. Information taken from both Wikipedia and Wiktionary.

In the Chuck's Challenge 3D website, the picture for the "Bouncer" enemy is called "Boncer.jpg".

Chuck's Challenge 3D wasn't Chuck Somerville's first game with aliens. Even before the Lynx version of Chip's Challenge he made a graphical text adventure called "Gruds In Space".

One of Chuck's Challenge developers, Barn, is going to play the game and walk Woop 1,000 steps every day this month for charity.
