If I had to play a Crash Bandicoot game. Would you recommend me starting off with the original? What are the best games in the series in your opinion?

3 is probably the best. Crash Team Racing is great too and you really don't have to play any of the over games to enjoy it.
You should probably be playing CC2LP1.

My favorite Crash Bandicoot's games:

Crash Bandicoot 3: The levels are fun and quite challenging, especially on the last level, the DARK level. It's a bit annoying (I got fall several times), but fun.

Crash Bash: I love this especially on one-person battle, throwing the blocks and TNTs and avoid the nitros.

Crash Bandicoot - The Wrath Of Cortex: It's basically the same as Crash Bandicoot 3, only harder and more fun to play.
