I'm having trouble changing my profile picture. The photo I want to use is a 29 kB JPEG and the error message I get is "Failed to set a new photo". Help?

I managed to change mine just a moment ago.
CCMiniLP, my CCLP1 submissions. Outdated, not recommended.
CCSignificantlyLargerLP, my CCLP4 submissions. More current than my main set.
Consistent Inconsistency (ongoing), my main CC1 custom set. (discussion)
RyanJ1.dat (ongoing), my main CC2 custom set. (discussion)
Mystery Project™ (unfinished) (previews)

I would have thought there'd be no problem with a JPEG given it's such a common format. Does it have to be less than / more than a certain size / no. of pixels?
CC1: 5,954,550 (completed)
--- CCLP1: 5,989,110 (completed)
--- CCLP2: 5,936,410 (148 levels completed)
--- CCLP3: 1,223,887 (a few levels completed)

I tried to change my avatar not that long ago and it wouldn't actually change, but I uploaded it to imgur and used that URL to change it and that worked.

I seem to have the same problem; I haven't tried a url yet however. But any image off of my own PC doesn't seem to load at all.
my CC2 sets: Mobi's Challenge (166 levels)
Walls of CCLP2 (V2) presently: ~50 levels
