I am searching for a level but I don't remember what set it is from. From memory, it looked something like this.

  Previous versions of Level Sets
Posted by: drn211 - 11-Jun-2013, 2:35 PM - Forum: Feedback - Replies (3)

I'm posting because I notice a glitch of sorts with level sets where more than one version has been uploaded. The level set I notice the problem on is Elementary Particles. I apologize for signaling this person/set out because there are 1 or 2 others by different people that have I noticed doing this and Steven's Elementary set is just the most recent. The problem is that with multiple version listed it is impossible to tell which is the most recent. I click on the level set and then click download and there are three different sets to download. After downloading all three and comparing the sets to what Steven lists is new for the current version I discovered that the 2nd of the 3 is the most recent. This is ridiculous either the newest version should always be the last or first listed or the person uploading the set should be forced to change the name to reflect the new version such as adding a number. This is just something that bothered me that I thought I would post about.

Thanks

Xbox One Is Stupid, And Here's My Reasons Why
Posted by: Chipwoodstock - 10-Jun-2013, 2:26 PM - Forum: General - Replies (10)

  1. The kinect is needed. Everyone didn't like that except for me, and only because mine came with fruit ninja. And even then play it less now, because it hasn't updated for the starfruit update, and starfruit is the best, man, c'mon! Make way for the hackers hacking into female accounts that have video enabled and... That.
  2. The xbox watches you. Even your voice. And then the perverted hackers doing... That... Again.
  3. The TV needs an attatchment, and it's about $100. Come on, a DirectTV may be more expensive, but a promised idea of having TV on your xbox needing an extra $100 and it's (porably) not included?
  4. Need to play your favorite Xbox 360 game? Like, Namco Museum Xbox 360 Version? Hahaha, NOPE! There's no reverse-compatibility. Even if you hate Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts, if you don't have a Xbox 360 and buy it to review it for giggles, without knowing about this... You'd have wasted money, unless you wanted to shell out even MORE money!
  5. Skype is free on a computer! Why waste time on an Xbox One...? You'd just pay for a Tivo and Phone. Oh, wow. Oh, and stupid games.
  6. But of course, don't forget the crappy games. Seriously, the most thing I would buy this for was the dog in COD! I DON'T EVEN LIKE CALL OF DUTY! Other then that there's just stupid and cliche FPS games and a driving ripoff.
  7. At E3 they announced this stupid limited edition Figure. With a fedora on the character. Somehow, they want to sell this for $500 dollars. TV attachment + Limited Figure = $600 dollars.
There is a load of more reasons, but here are the ones that are most important to me. I'm not buying one, you shouldn't buy one, and the world shouldn't buy one. I wanna see this console flop. Though, Nintendo took a manuever to increase chances of this horrible beast of a bad brick flopping higher. They were'nt at E3, but, wouldn't you know, you're- Wait, what? Too busy on Animal Crossing: New Moon? Oh. OK. I was gonna say nintendo released this the day before E3 so Xbox One would flop easier, but, you seem to be having to much fun to care, much like I am about the Xbox One without including negative thoughts. Carry on.

tl;dr xbox one is dumb

  3-click downloads
Posted by: pieguy - 10-Jun-2013, 1:50 AM - Forum: Feedback - Replies (9)

Every time I download something I'm bothered by this, but I don't download things very often so it hasn't been worth mentioning. Now, with the CCLP1 voting packs, I have to say something.

This is ridiculous.

I click the link I want. Then I click "download". Then I click "download" again. Then I wait 5 seconds. Then the file finally downloads.

To top it off, you have to be logged in to download pretty much anything.

Am I too impatient?

Playing CC on a Lynx emulator?
Posted by: budugoo - 09-Jun-2013, 4:07 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (9)

I recently did this, using an emulator called Handy. I downloaded the rom from AtariAge, and launched it up. It was fun actually, playing the original version, after playing the MS, DOS and TW. (I also managed to run the fractal set Tongue)

Anybody else already tried this / interested?

  CAM'S CHALLEGNE - Preview
Posted by: Chipwoodstock - 08-Jun-2013, 9:48 PM - Forum: Under Construction - Replies (5)

I've decided to introduce my WIP chip's challenge hack, Cam's Challenge!

Noteworthy Stuff

  1. This uses a custom .DAT for the MSCC, and the .DAT is NOT designed the Tile World. I am not sure if the .DAT works with this.
  2. This uses custom music. Put said music in the same folder as the .DAT!
  3. Please have fun! This might be easy, but please note that I haven't even gotten close to beating "NUTS AND BOLTS".
Screencaps

And all sorts of screencaps. Pictures, who would live without them. Can't live with or without them.

A snap of a sort-of-long puzzle level from early in the game from the editor (I use CCEdit)

Some pictures of new tiles! You may notice Chip got turned into me (Yes, my real name is Cam) as well as some red paint. (Well, I like Red!) And green spys too!

Some Other And Possibly Useless Notices

  1. A release date is unset, and likely wont have a release date. It'll probably be released when its done.
  2. Some pixels are unchanged on Cam/Chip, so bits of blue shirts and green pants will be visible. I will likely fix these.*
Coming soon** to a CC Zone near you

*if i dont procrasinate too much or forget

**actually, at random, as with the first useless notice's text

A question for you guys, as in, all of you chipsters!
Posted by: Chipwoodstock - 08-Jun-2013, 5:51 PM - Forum: Level Discussion - Replies (17)

I'm asking before this project begins because I know you're likely busy voting for CCLP1, but I have been thinking of making a chipster-made pack! You would be able to submit me levels. I've only got a few rules though, might be subject to change, which are...

  1. No really evil levels... Please. Make it at least possible for beginners. This is geared to beginners, but not as a tutorial, or a very long one that is (Wasn't that the purpose of CCLP1 at one point of creation?). Just a easy level pack. Please keep this in mind. Some good ways to do this is via not spamming monsters, at least medium-leveled puzzles, only reason to restart is if you do it on purpose or you're very new...
  2. CAPITALIZE It however YoU wanT! It's your level, you name it. You can even use other things like the homestuck troll speech for all I care! "thii2 ii2 a 2iilly iidea" can work, so can "its n0t a hard level"
As for plotline, which will be included, that'll be released before the level submissions begin, so don't work early. Please be patient if this does happen!.If anything, filler levels with no contribution to the plot can be placed after the main game, as the secret levels (such as 145-149 in CC1 and most CC level packs of ANY kind)
