In your opinion, what 5 levels would you place in the CCLP1 145-149 slots?
Mine are:
145. Judas' Last Move (Rock Genereux)
146. Japanese Game Show (John Lewis)
147. Lounge Act (Tyler Sontag)
148. Flareon (Josh Lee)
149. Final Destination (Tom Patten)
What about you?

February 2013 - Create Competition |

Welcome to the very first create competition of the new year folks! This is also my first time hosting one, so it may be easier to you guys but I honesty do not know. But I'm sure you'll love this one!
This month's competition is a post-apocalyptic scenario theme. It must take place after some natural disaster of your choice that has happened, though it doesn't have to be a realistic one.
If you are confused anywhere, the closest example towards this theme is rockdet's Torn Down in Flames level. (Rock-Alpha #57) After the Rainstorm (CCLP2 #112) is also a good example.
--THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN MAKING YOUR LEVEL--
Level Requirements:
-Your level must be solvable in both MS and Lynx.
-No randomness is allowed (arbitrariness is acceptable).
-Time limit can be anywhere between 300-700 seconds, no higher nor less.
-Amount of chips can be anywhere between 1-30 in total, no higher nor less. All must also be required to complete your level.
Level Rules:
-Levels already made will not be accepted.
-Your level cannot be an official level with this theme.
Bonus Points:
(not required, but would be helpful if you want to win)
-include something related to Valentine's Day
-travel through a mechanism at the end*
-your level is based on a real-life natural disaster
*if a mechanism is used in your level
Don't forget to make your level fun and enjoyable!
Once you complete your level, send it to me at pkmndiamond493@live.com and I will go through all of them when I can. Be sure to make it clear who you are when sending your level. I strongly recommend titling your "levelset" as the following, just to make it easier on me.
"[your username]+Feb2013 Create"
-OVERALL RULES-
This competition will come to a close on March 10th at 12:00am PST. I will no longer accept levels at this point, and that is when I will start judging them.
Only one level entry per member. If you feel the need to fix anything in your level, please feel free to do so and nofity me of the changes, as well as sending me the fixed version. This won't affect you or your entry in anyway.
If there's something you don't understand, please post in this topic and I or another member will clarify for you.
Thank you everyone and have fun!

Program to execute routes? |

I had this idea some time ago (and forgot about for some time) of having a program which reads a route (preferably in directional notation, but not necessarily) and attempts to execute it in MSCC or TW(2). Useful if the route is extremely difficult to execute and you're not entirely sure if it will even work.
Would anyone know if such a program already exists? Any ethical objections to such a program?

So what did I do last weekend? I played these two cool levels! Now I want to share them with you too!
http://cczone.invisionzone.com/index.php?/files/file/200-ccz-tt-1302ccl/
I could wait till we get last month's results, but couldn't think of any other reason to not already post these since the month has already begun. There are two levels this month (levels #2 and #3 in the set), and they might be familiar ones if you have been keeping track of the create competitions. Both of these levels were submitted last year for a create competition, but I thought they would work well also as TT levels. The first one is actually one of my own making, from a year ago for the volcano themed January competition. The second one was made by Ben Hornlitz for the September competition and is used here again with his kind permission. Though the second one also received a minor edit, my level had a bit more work done to it, so please use the versions provided here.
If you know the routine, that's all you need to know. Enjoy!
Here are more details if you need them:
1) The person with the highest combined remaining time on the levels #2- #3 wins! Once again you may enter in either Lynx or MS, with the latter being the primary rules (meaning that any lynx solution times that exceed the best MS solution time will be considered equal to that MS time, but otherwise all the times will be compared together in one category). Ties in overall score won't be broken.
2) Please send your solutions (either the tws file or avis) to me at valeosote at hotmail dot com. Do not post your solutions or solution times or share them with others. All times will be published at the same time, and the quickest solutions will eventually be released.
3) The levels shouldn't be too hard to solve. Don't be afraid to send in your solutions even if you sense they aren't perfect, and simple casual solutions are also appreciated. To give an idea of how long it might take to solve the levels, the optimal solution for the first level does not exceed one minute, and the second one can be done in about two to three minutes.
4) This is part of the new 2013 season of the Chip Cup. Winner will be awarded 15 points, second place 12 and so on. If you win a competition here for the first time, you receive the "You're Winner!" award. All participants who haven't participated in a time trial earlier receive the "Run, Chip, Run" award.
5) Submission deadline is at the end of the month. In practice this means I will post here during the first week of March announcing that no more submissions will be accepted, and judge the competition right then. This can happen sooner than you hope, so get your solutions in early rather than later! You can send in improvements while the competitions is running, so there is no downside to sending in something you know might not be your best effort if you had forever to work on it.
Report any problems or ask any questions here! Have fun!

I just added LizzyB-CC1 and LizzyB-Replicas to downloads in CCZone and to the yahoo site. If you want some short fun level sets to try out, then these are for you. The CC1 set is three levels from my LizzyB1 set that are adapted/modified CC levels and the Replicas set is fifteen levels from my LizzyB1 set that are replicas of other board, video and computer games.
