Quick question with the let's play awards
Posted by: mmoraleta - 05-Sep-2017, 9:26 PM - Forum: Awards - Replies (2)

I just have a quick question about the lets play and the lets fail award.

For the "Let's Play" award it says to "Let's play 20 official chips challenge levels." does that mean I can just record any 20 levels from any official chips challenge set like the first 20 levels? Or do I have to record the whole set? Confused

Also, for the "Let's fail" award, is it just limited to any relevant CC based award or can it be attempted on any award? Confused

These just came up to me since I recently downloaded HyperCam 2 (Josh's software suggestion) and that enabled me to record CC let's play in tile world. Plus, I am 15g away from being a "Bronze Chipster"

Thanks.

I am just wondering for all the chipsters who do lets plays what kind of software do you use to record your Tile World gameplay? Just in case I wanted to send a video solution or record myself playing Chips Challenge in general?

  Managing pictures on CCZone

Every time I want to share a picture with a CCZone Member, I have to upload it first.

Just curious how do you post a picture like a screenshot of Tile World without uploading it first? Also, just wondering what method you guys use to capture the Tile World screen to post solutions, cooks, tutorials, etc.

cclpinfo sounds useful, so here is a quick draft for a tcl program with a similar purpose for Chip's Challenge 2.

Open your c2g files to get names, authors, sizes, time limits... from the levels in the set, and collect information through multiple sets by saving them in one database.

If you are missing any features or encounter problems, let me know and additional functionality can be added Wink

The program and a sample database with information over more than 1200 cc2 levels is available for download:

http://cczone.invisionzone.com/index.php?/files/file/635-cc2info/

With basic sorting and filtering of selected data possible in your browser as well...

  cclpinfo 1.4
Posted by: magical - 27-Aug-2017, 7:47 PM - Forum: Programs and Editors - Replies (1)

Hi all,

I just released cclpinfo version 1.4.

cclpinfo is a command-line utility which prints information about levels in a levelset (title, password, time limit, chips, and hint).

New features in 1.4:

  • you can now give cclpinfo multiple files on the command line and it will list
    all of them
  • cclpinfo can now read levelsets that use pgchip
Bug fixes:
  • fixed signature checking on 64-bit architectures
  • removed some assumptions about endianness -- cclpinfo should now work on
    big-endian architectures
  • fixed heap corruption when parsing certain invalid files (found with afl-fuzz)
In other news, cclpinfo has a new home on Github: https://github.com/magical/cclpinfo

Download it from Github (https://github.com/magical/cclpinfo/releases/tag/1.4), or the Yahoo! group, or my website.
