CCLP1 Speculation
#91
Quote:Then CC isn't the game for you. Try Chuck's Challenge instead.

Why should a willingness to endure tedious repetition be required to enjoy Chip's Challenge? It's not like the developers deliberately left out a checkpoint system.

I'm all for a checkpoint system (or some form of it) being added to Tile World.

I'd like to be able to select my levelset with a mouse, thank you. Tongue

I speculate CCLP1 will have a minimal--if any--storyline, like CC1.

I speculate that CCLP1 will not be released until the myriad of cryptic puzzles devised by the staff in the "Within" topic have been solved by at least one person in the community outside of the staff, because they enjoy watching massed, spontaneous, puzzle induced brain meltdown.
CC1: 5,954,550 (completed)
--- CCLP1: 5,989,110 (completed)
--- CCLP2: 5,936,410 (148 levels completed)
--- CCLP3: 1,223,887 (a few levels completed)

Then it's not Chip's Challenge anymore. It's an entirely different game.

And it will have a storyline. An epic one. Slight smile

I speculate that someone on the CCLP1 staff will not get a majority of his most favorite CCLP1 candidates into the final product.

...and yes, we all know who that certain someone will be.

You should probably be playing CC2LP1.

Or go to the Chip's Challenge Wiki.

...No, it would still be Chip's Challenge.

It's not like we would be forced to use the feature. (Or maybe we would. We don't know, considering there's no announcement or anything of its development.) It can be configured to disallow checkpoints by default unless specified in the DAC file or something.

Besides, in that sense you could claim that the game stopped being Chip's Challenge when maps and level editors were publicly released, or when the ice block patch was introduced.

I don't believe your logic possesses the force you believe it to possess. Slight smile Maps and level editors are "optional," yes, but they exist independently of the game. The game itself doesn't need to be altered to produce them. I do agree about the ice block patch, though. The bottom line is that if you're making a change from inside the game that alters the gameplay significantly, it's not the same game anymore.

If you new who it was (which obviously you do) then you would know the inside joke to whom I'm refering.

I speculate that J.B. is the CCLP1 Staff Cordinator.
