The best birthdays are when they are on Christmas Eve. One of my cousins is on the 24th December and he gets like doulble the presents, the lucky *****!

My brothers both have December birthdays, and always felt like they got cheated. "Here's your combination birthday/Christmas present!"

I read about a family who celebrated their kid's birthday in June, even though he was born on Christmas. You know, to sort of balance it out over the year...

I've always wondered about what some people do in those scenarios. I always feel bad for people who are born close to Christmas for that reason...Slight smile

I think that was mentioned in Diary of a Wimpy Kid - if your birthday is on Christmas, you will only get one round of party/presents per year, which totally blows... unless you celebrate at a different time of year of course!

My main squeeze and I were married Christmas Eve, 1977. People who came to the event had to have their Christmas shopping finished. It made the season more restful for them that year they say.

I don't even celebrate full birthdays. Tongue

Always makes me feel awkward when other people celebrate mine for me or get me presents. I just don't care about them or see what's worth celebrating...as the creator of the webcomic Abstruse Goose puts it:

(Actually, I lied. I celebrated my 19th a couple months ago, but because there was something worth celebrating [i broke free from the chains holding me back from certain activities, most notably poker]. Even then, the celebration was pretty tame Tongue)

I remember being 19 and going up to Niagara Falls and just being old enough to go into the casino. I think the gambling and drinking ages in Canada are 19...I know there were definitely people I knew who went up there before they were 21 so that they could get wasted (legally, that is)...
