I'm joining my fellow designers and releasing a pared-down level set for my CCLP4 submissions. This set features 67 levels from JBLP1 with 3 levels I've entered in Create Competitions.
A CCLP4 candidate set for Daniel Bouwmeester's levels. Contains 78 levels, and is an updated version of DanielB-Lynx with CCLP1 levels, incompatible levels, and levels that rely heavily on guesswork removed.
My submissions for future level packs, which includes the levels I made that I think deserve a chance. Will update with new levels if I ever make more good ones.
What's New in Version 1.2
Fixed a major bust in Restrictions, and fixed Codebreaker, so that only 8 buttons can be hit. Thanks IHNN for the help.
Greetings fellow Chipsters! For those who are unaware of who I am, let me introduce myself. I am Josh Lee, designer of all the JoshL levelsets, as well as JCCLP, JCCLP2, and JCCLPRejects. I have agreed to co-lead the staff of CCLP4 alongside Jeffrey (ihavenoname248) quite some time ago. For the past few years, there have been many discussions and debates about whether or not CCLP4 should be a thing, what kind of levels would be in it, etc. and with the release of CC2 six months ago as of this posting, there has been debate whether it'd still be a CC1 set like the previous CCLPs, or take a new direction and become the first potential CC2 custom made community levelset.
Well the time has finally come to get CCLP4 underway! But before we do anything though, there should be some clarification. First, looking at the results of the poll J.B. started a while back here, it looks as if people prefer CCLP4 be a CC1 set. That being said, I think it's safe to say this will be the direction CCLP4 will be going in. Second, we really need to get an official staff formed before we move to the next step. I think the safest way to go about this is have some positions that have been seen in previous CCLP staffs before; i.e. playtesters, speaker of the staff, etc. If you'd like to contribute to this project and be a staff member, please comment below! We need other people on board to really get this moving forward!
Jeffrey and I have agreed to co-lead the staff and Michael Warner has made it very clear over the past few years that he'd like to be an MS ruleset playtester. I suggest for the time being, there should be two playtesters of each ruleset, to ensure the best possible results of the final product of CCLP4, and a speaker of our staff. Other positions should form in time as the construction of the set progresses. One thread was made a few months ago about assembling a potential staff for CCLP4, here is a link to that thread to look back on. If your name/username is listed under the "Not against being on the staff" section, please make it clear as if you are still willing to contribute or not. This will help us out immensely! Or if you're not mentioned on that thread at all and you have questions or debates about anything, feel free to say so below! Any input or insight would be helpful!
Finally in addition to this, levelset submissions for CCLP4 are officially open! If you'd like your levels to be considered for CCLP4, please let us know by commenting below or by doing so via other means and we will add them to the submission list you see here. Special thanks to J.B. Lewis for starting this off for us. I personally would like to have a separate website to organize submissions a little easier but in time this may come. Please keep in mind CCLP4 will officially be a CC1 set.
I think that about wraps it up here! Lets really get a move on with this project guys!
I know that cc2 has been out for a while now, but it feel the there are still some people who haven't gotten the news, or a least haven't let us know they heard. I am talking about the people who lead the original campaign an petition for cc2 release back in the 90's. The people who ran those geocities pages. The charter chipsters Did anyone try and get in contact with them? I used what emails I could find on the archived pages but they were probably no good now. I just think it would be nice to let them know and see if even after all these years they would still like to be part of the community again. Any thoughts?
I'm really sorry if this is a stupid question, but I would like to add music to my CC2 set. It seems that the file has to be in MP3 format. However, how do I add it to the C2G file? I tried but it doesn't work.
This is a CC1 levelset with 61 levels, all of which are solvable in MS, and should be Lynx compatible (except the last level). I would like these levels to be considered for CCLP4 (except levels 30 and 53).
The difficulty of the levels ranges from easy to hard. If any busts or other issues are discovered, I'll be sure to fix them as quickly as possible.
I want to thank Michael for his help playtesting the set.
I hope everyone enjoys. B)
What's New in Version 1.5
-Level 1: Added gravel to (16, 18) to fix bust
-Level 3: Fixed exit area to prevent block slapping onto trap button at (9, 26)
-Level 5: Replaced red door at (18, 18) with a wall, fires at (4, 15) and (4, 17) with gravel, and removed the block at (6, 16) to remove minor ruleset inequality of the paramecium dying in the fire in MS
-Level 49: Removed gliders at (15, 26) and (16, 25) to eliminate bust, forcing Chip to clone fireballs
-level 60: Moved trap button to (22, 28) to (21, 30) and removed bomb at (28, 30) to make ending section beatable in Lynx
I need help with Endangered Species [level 187 of CC2]
The first part with blocks and the trap is pretty simple [though Clever, I liked it] and also the section with the ice blocks.
After you get the RR sign and go back to get the bowling balls I'm totally stumped. I don't see how to get by the water square and into the next area. The only thing I can think of is the new mechanic [that I frankly don't like at all] that you can make blocks come out of a clone machine in the wrong direction by blocking it up. But if that's possible it looks very hard and annoying to pull off.
also on the level "Gears" I can't see any way to go anywhere. I can only move in the three safe spaces around the start. Moving anywhere else seems like certain death.
