So, in your opinion, is gambling really that bad? My best friend is a bit of a risk taker and does gamble on Poker and Slot Machines alot. I personally have never really done it. I don't even know how to play Poker properly to be honest! What are your thoughts on this?

For me it is a no-goer. Those things are set up to make you lose, and what is the point of buying lottery tickets if the odds of winning are less than 1 in 10,000,000? Plus, I'm under 18. I'd personally much rather earn the same amount of money by inventing the next generation of video games or something (although I have no plans to).
Playing Poker with M&M's sure is fun though! (done it quite a few times)

I've gambled a few times with Poker and Texas Hold 'em. Actually I think its safe to say that everyone has gambled at some point in their life, without realizing. After all arcades are just mini-casinos lol

The thing about arcades is that it only costs money to play the games and get high scores and sometimes extra free plays, rather than play the games only for the fun of winning money and if you lose (most likely) you will be disappointed and not have any good "fun" to reflect on. Trying to get on the high scores of a pinball machine is always fun (did it twice).

I actually played the lottery a lot when I was five years old - with my parents' permission, of course. But I wouldn't do it now as a poor bachelor.

I used to play Online Poker a lot, but at some point lost everything (which wasn't a lot but when you grow something out of little and you lose it all, well it's frustrating). Used to go to the casino, only for the ambiance, I never spend more than $11 when I go there.

Yeah, my friend had the same problem like 5 years ago. He kept spending his money on online gambling so fast his wages went in like a day. He had to go to some meeting and now he can only spend like a fiver a month on machines, but not online.

I completely disagree with it. We've got people in this world who gamble their lives away practically, and it kind of pains me to see that. And as Trevor said, the 1 in 1,000,000 chance of winning isn't worth it.
Why not just get a good job instead?

Oh, I just go there for the thrill to be there. It feels another world when you're in the casino. Plus, free drinks
But yeah, never more than once or twice a year anyway, so that's a huge $22. I'm ruined...
