an idea came to me...
A level that is set in a specific location. Factory is a popular theme. Perhaps a comp where the call for levels is a certain job location, like around a fishing boat, a music store, a school, or a computer store? Size may or may not be limited, e.g. 16x16..

I know the title says create suggestions, but flipping through some old competitions I thought of a novel concept for a Treasure Hunter level, though I'm not sure how it'd be implemented.
Lynx only, lots of blue keys. It could definitely be interesting, though I'm not sure how to make it unclear whether or not a given blue key is worthwhile to save. Perhaps a sizable swarm of monsters and a few blocks?

Take all of the walls out of a level and use anything but walls to make it harder, longer, or whatever the objective would be
