CC2LP1 Voting Server Transfer [Read This If You've Voted]
Posted by: quiznos00 - 05-May-2020, 2:57 PM - Forum: Chip's Challenge 2 - No Replies

Hello CC2LP1 voters

For those not on the Discord, I will fill you in on the CC2LP1 voting site situation. The deadline I hoped for was May 16th, but H2O (the webmaster) was unable to sustain the server until then, so we needed to reduce the deadline to May 11th. I've been wanting to move the voting server to bitbusters.club since these issues have began, since that server is much more stable. However, I am unable to obtain the user data which links pieguy's site login with our internal voter IDs from H2O's server due to European Union data privacy laws. I've recently thought of a way to be able to transfer the user data by getting the consent of each person who voted on the old server to have their username and voter ID pair transferred to bitbusters.club's server.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO!
If you have voted on CC2LP1 and wish to continue voting after May 11th, private message me here on CC Zone OR send me a message on Discord (quiznos00#3068) and I will walk you through the process to obtain your voter ID. Discord is prefered since the process works best if we're chatting live.

Votes made on the current server will NOT be lost, even if you don't transfer accounts. But you must contact me before May 11th, 23:59 UTC if you want your account to be transferred to bitbusters.club to continue voting. Voting will be extended on bitbusters.club! Date undecided, but it will be at least June 1.

Total score: 1,413,780 (50 bolds, 51 if level 10 included)

The times in the final column (where populated) indicate those routes that I have achieved using SuperCC but have not managed for real (in all cases my best actual time is a similar route, just with imperfect boosting/luck etc).

These have been achieved without looking at any videos or public TWSs.

Naturally, I have to thank the creators and maintainers of SuperCC for the program's assistance.

I did, however, notice one bug in the program - the intended solution of level 63 involves bouncing the block off the chip at (19,23) back through the trap at (19,21). If this solution is loaded into SuperCC, the block gets removed from the sliplist on re-entering the trap when it should remain on the sliplist, thus the solution does not play back. This is not an issue in the busted route which yields the bold time.

I present to you JoshL0 - a best-of best-of set of sorts I decided to compile. This holds 200 levels that come from many of the various JoshL sets, WoCCLP3, the JCCLPs, and even some new ones that have yet to be revealed to the public eye. Also included are several levels that managed to find their way into either CCLP1 or 4. Some levels were changed slightly, or in the case of the older levels, significantly.

I did my best to include most everyone's favorites here based off feedback from the past, however, there are levels I know some dislike yet included them anyway because I like them and they add something to the set as a whole.

Special thanks to Tyler Sontag for re-purposing a few levels here.

Arranged by difficulty and is compatible in Lynx. Does that disclaimer need to be mentioned anymore at this point?

Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Flareon

I love it that you managed to restore the user blogs in the forum when migrating the site. How about opening up that sub forum for new posts, maybe renaming it Blog Station or something? It’d be nice to have a place where people can post more lengthy, blog-style entries, just like the ones already there. I like reading them.

the "long awaited" sequel to snacks.dat is here. attached is a set of 9 medium-sized levels, 8 of which are playable in lynx. there were going to be more levels but life got in the way. feedback would be greatly appreciated since i am still new to this. i'll also probably get a little better at this game before starting work on the next level set.

[edit 3/28: level 9 is now playable in lynx. oops]

  Level 100- One Tank's Adventure
Posted by: Syllypryde - 27-Mar-2020, 3:44 PM - Forum: Level Discussion - Replies (6)

The only thing I need to do and can't is get the blue key. There is a south force floor right next to it. The only way to bypass the force floor to get the key is to either place two blocks underneath which is impossible, or use the block by the red door and the fireballs, hence the hint. Here is my problem: Because of the glider that periodically opens the trap and it is impossible to stop it, every fireball I clone all go into the water. No matter how many I clone and no matter how I try to manipulate the green toggle doors, they still all go into the water. So it seems the only way to prevent that is to put the block in the water, but if I do that I have no block whatsoever to block the force floor to get the blue key.

I have been playing and replaying this level literally half of each day for almost a week. I am completely stumped. I don't understand how it is possible to get that key. Is there something simple I am missing? Does it somehow involve an expert Chipster move? Or does it require fast and frightening reflexes? If it is one or both of the latter two, then I am screwed.
