File category: CC1 Levelsets

This is my second release, after the very appreciated Rock-Alpha.

50 levels ready for you to play, many of which you may have already seen around either from Rock-cclp1 or my 5x5 concept set.. They should all be Lynx-compatible, and if you see any flaw in there, just tell me about it, but there shouldn't Wink Just make sure there's 105 chips required in Boa Boa Boa and 6 in Impulse, so you don't have any bad surprise Wink

Official thanks to James Anderson, Marc Larivière, J.B. Lewis, Andrew Gapic and Josh Lee Hixson, each of them for various reasons.

Cheers and enjoy!

This is rockdet signing out, see ya around!

Chip Win

  An announcement from Chip's Portal
Posted by: admin - 01-Apr-2012, 2:27 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (10)

Andrew R. a.k.a. "Tom P." and Tyler Sontag a.k.a "Andrew R." have been permanently banned from Chip's Portal. This occurred due to a serious breach of trust, impersonating

Chip's Portal staff members, and including a number of messages directly against Chip's Portal and one of its staff members.

Please note that monthly Create Competitions will continue and that the current one will be judged.

The Time For Change Has Come! Join Team Endermen and Revolutionize CCLP1!
Posted by: BigOto2 - 01-Apr-2012, 1:18 PM - Forum: CCLP Discussions - Replies (14)

As seen on the Newsgroup:

As most of you have already noticed, the CCLP1 staff officially released the set earlier this morning. CCLP1, seeing from the few levels I played throughout the set, featured levels from only J.B., Tyler, Ben, and Rock, including some of Tyler and Rock's hardest puzzle levels. Is this supposed to be CCLP4 or something? What happened to the set I submitted, BigOto Returns? What about JoshL2, KTNUSA, or any other sets I have played for you guys and provided feedback for this future set? Have all my contributions gone to waste?

The CCLP1 staff is the biggest group of rotten slimeball trolls I have ever known over the Internet. To every member of the staff, including John Lewis, Dave Varberg, The Architect, James Anderson, Rock Généreux, Ben Hornlitz, Tyler Sontag, and Paul Gilbert, you are all magma-creams who have no experience with the video game developing world, and you are all going to pay for this flaming infraction against players and followers such as me, Josh, Andrew B., and many more that I obviously missed, who just want to have fun enjoying a very high-standard set developed over a nice long timeframe.

One of the members of the CCLP1 staff in particular has really angered me, him being J.B. Lewis. His inattention in allowing this set to release early, as well as his infamous scheme to dominate our community and the world, has led me to believe that we must find his location and send him to live in the Nether for eternity, before he claims total power of the universe as we know it.

As a result, I am leading a revolution known as the Enderman Revolution to overthrow our rotten former CCLP1 staff, and I will become the new leader along with Josh Lee as my speaker for the new staff. This team of new staff members will be known as Team Endermen, and we will reclaim today's release of CCLP1 and continue voting as scheduled, so we can deliver the actual CCLP1 with levels from more than 100 designers throughout our community which will be voted on and edited such that only the best and most creative levels make the cut, but also such that every designer gets equal and every opportunity to contribute levels to the final product. Team Endermen will consist of not only me and Josh, but multiple members of the Chip's Portal community such as Tom Patten, BitBuster, Riph2lemonz, and IceyLava.

All levels created by the former CCLP1 staff are officially blacklisted, including levels created by J.B. Lewis, Tyler Sontag, Ben Hornlitz, and Rock Généreux.

Our estimated release timeframe is in about a year from now, however no promises have been made other than that it will NOT be this upcoming Christmas.

Assistance with our Enderman Revolution is welcome. We still have quite a few slots we need to fill:

- An individual with at least 30 years of qualified hacking experience, who is willing to modify the CCLP1 site and claim its domain for our own use.

- A lawyer, who would be willing to assist us in claiming copyright on levels within the former CCLP1 and file lawsuits on the former staff.

- An individual with Minecraft modding experience, who can help us integrate CC with Minecraft and create a new 3D ruleset which would be integrated with Minecraft's rules and physics.

- Anyone who is willing to beta test submitted levels for MS, Lynx, and Minecraft compatibility. At least 8 years of qualified experience with both rulesets is required. You will also need to attend a tryout on our Minecraft server so we can evaluate your skills and knowledge of Minecraft.

Who's in with us?

How did you like The Hunger Games?
Posted by: geodave - 01-Apr-2012, 8:33 AM - Forum: General - Replies (17)

Went to see it last night. Haven't read the books so the content was new.

I thought the Katniss actress did a very good job. Beyond that, this was pretty much a combination of other books and movies I've read. Even the "fight to the death" part was in a book from the 70s.

Still, I can see the appeal.

I really didn't like how much shaky camera work there was, though.

What did you think?

Changing Tile World graphics to CC graphics?
Posted by: IceyLava108 - 31-Mar-2012, 11:05 PM - Forum: Programs and Editors - Replies (18)

Hey everyone,

I'm not exactly the best at this -- I am more familiar with regular CC than Tile World.

I was wondering how exactly do you change the graphics from Tile World to CC graphics -- I know you need to change the files. [Also, I'm using Tile World 2 (who uses 1 anymore? Tongue)]

The two tile world graphic files are named tiles and atiles that are running my TW2, and here is the tileset that I have for Chip's Challenge ---

Am I missing a CC tileset .gif? [i have this one for CC and this one only]

Seeing how TW2 uses the regular tiles.gif and the atiles.gif

I need help and I know everyone else probably knows how to do this. Thanks Wink

  Apologies
Posted by: AprilFoolAndrewR - 31-Mar-2012, 8:24 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (28)

Hello everyone.

I'd like to apologize to the CC community about my behaviour back in Mid-March where I said my goodbyes to the community. I especially need to apologize to Tom, because he has done an excellent job on CC Zone, despite stealing most of my ideas when I had Chip's Portal, and I was jealous of his success. I also did not mean to call you all hypocritical scumbags. I was very angry at the time and I only realise now that Tom was trying to welcome me back to CC Zone. I will return to CC Zone if the following criteria is met:

  • The CCLP3 pages to be finished by the end of April.

  • For AndrewR1 to be resubmitted into CCLP voting.

Tom, I am not asking for you to make me a staff member of CC Zone. I just want to start all over again and I hope you and the CC community can forgive me.

Thank you,

Andrew R. (Chip's Portal Staff)

...or CCBBC for short, is a must-join for any CC fans with a facebook account!

https://www.facebook...75825302437909/

Founded in 2010 by Andrew Bennett, the group contains most members of the community as well as Chuck Sommerville. The main attraction is the group chat, which is pretty much always active. If you have a fb account, you should join us!

I'm pretty sure most members here are in the group, but the chat still deserves its own topic. Slight smile

So... I dunno if I need to finish the let's fail to get the award, but if not, then I should get it now:

There's the video. I know I kinda chose an odd level for a let's fail series, but, hey it should still count Tongue
