September 2019 Time Trial - New Winds |

The Time has come! The Trial is upon us!
We have some goodies lined up for you this fall in the form of great levels for competitions! We are kicking things off with some that Jeffrey made and were inspired by levels in Chuck's Challenge 3D. Get the levels here!
The levels used for the traditional part of this competition are #4 Search AND Destroy
, #5 Caught on the Flipside
, and #6 Catalyst
. Please send your solutions to me and keep your times secret from others until the competition results are announced.
Sounds straight-forward, but why did I use the word 'traditional' in there? If you think it implies some sort of change happening, you'd be right! The file linked above actually contains 14 levels to play. We could have spread these over a course of months, or use some as a mini time trial. But we're doing something similar but new. We are incorporating Discord chat into this competition. It's the modern way to go.
So here's how it's going to work. Optimize the levels above as usual, play them in TW or MSCC and send me your solution. You can send them to me through email, or simply in a PM on Discord. We will also open up a channel for discussing the competitions (not limited to this one). There you can post the times you find for the other levels in the set, perhaps using spoiler tags so others aren't, you know, spoiled, by your scores. For these times, you may also use SuCC, which means you only need to find the route for the best time, and (at least this month) you don't need to play out your route in real time! It would be nice if you could keep track of your scores and perhaps post them all here in one post, but maybe this is not absolutely required. The main objective here is to have fun together playing CC! Chip Cup points will be awarded for the actual competition, and for finding bold routes on the other levels.
We'll figure out the minor details as we go, so I won't bother posting all the technical rules, but rather ask (on Discord!) if you want a ruling or clarification on something. You can keep these things in mind though:
- Levels where you send in your solutions and wait for results: #4, #5, #6.
- The competition is primary in MS, but you can also send in your Lynx solutions.
- For the other levels, you don't need to optimize all of them, just the ones you want.
- You will be rewarded for finding bold routes on your own, not necessarily being the first to do so.
- Freely post your scores for any other levels you find routes for. If you post them all in one place, they would be easier to track.
- This competition ends by the end of September.
Enjoy!

This file contains a bunch of fun little levels to optimize.
Levels #4, #5, #6 are used for the September 2019 Time Trial, and the rest can be worked on for fun as well.
The inspiration for these files comes from the game Chuck Challenge 3D, so if you have played that game you might find something familiar here.

I Wrote A Book |

Hey, it's me! Your friendly neighborhood Craig. And because my sets are one of—if not THE—most important levelset series in the history of this game, I decided I'd write a book.
///
Just for fun, I've decided that I'm going to revisit my ~600 levels in book format. Each level is going to be a chapter, each chapter is going to be super short (about 200 words), and it's going to be my official revision of my plotline for The Last Few Chips series. I'll also be adding a few sections for levelset commentary as we go. I'm planning on releasing chapters Tuesday and Thursday starting this week, naturally on a Monday.
Come on over, it'll be a fun time.

Like MSCC Redux but better, credits are all the same with help from Kawaiiprincess360 on top of it all, many tiles have been overhauled and colours now blend even better

Why I'm taking a break |

I'm sorry everyone, but I don't think I can handle being here (at least in Discord) for a while. For too long I've put up an "internet tough guy" act, especially in Non-CC chatrooms, and I can't take that anymore. I'm going through what's probably the roughest time in my life right now and these are the things that explain why. My hope is that a few years down the road, these things can be forgotten (or better yet, perhaps they already have), and I'll be able to move on in my life.
It's a very complicated issue, and I unfortunately can't really tell the whole story because, honestly, I'm not sure if I remember it. Rarely, even outside of the CCBBC Discord, even in real life, I just find myself being too much of a hothead and saying things I wish I could take back.
I want to be remembered for the good things I do, not as some weak "tough guy". I'm going to devote the next few days of my life to changing and improving myself. Until then, I'm off.
Okay, you know what? That was a terrible explanation. You all deserve a bit more clarity than... that. So at the risk of getting a little too personal, I'll tell you more.
When I joined the CCBBC Discord in August 2018, I was so afraid to talk that I refused to do so for about 2-3 days. I was so paranoid that people would hate me, knowing how I had acted in real life in the past - and especially in a chat room full of 80 people. Now, I've said many, many things I wish I could just erase, and I am genuinely sorry to everyone who had to see that part of me.
In January 2019, this anxiety got so bad that I had to step away from the community for an entire month. Maybe it's just part of me getting older, but honestly, I think I got worse when I returned in February.
Over the years, I've noticed my tendency to get irritated at random things, as well as rapid mood swings. I shame myself constantly for every sin I have committed. I won't give specific examples, as there are some things I just can't bear to relive.
I can't really think of a good way to end this, so I'll just leave it here. And don't worry - I'll probably be back sooner rather than later. Maybe I'm just too anxious all the time, and maybe people are willing to look at me in a new light. You might see a report or two from me, but until the day I think I'm ready to return... farewell.

CC2LP1 Voting is Open |

Vote here:
https://hw0.eu/cc2lp1/
Quick rundown on how voting works this time. H2O's site above will take you to pieguy's site to login. This is for identification purposes and we decided to route it through pieguy's site since most people already have accounts there. To get a pack, press the "create a set" button and the server will generate a randomly shuffled pack for you to vote on. Your rating for a level is automatically saved after you make one. Continue this process til you've finished voting on all the packs! ?
There is no end date for voting set. The end date will be announced likely around a month in advance when we have received a sufficient number of votes per level.
