Nothing is too hard for the level 147 slot and nothing is too hard for CCLP4

Okay, now tell me how a beginner is supposed to build his game to clear Final Destination at the end of the beginner set. I can't even clear it myself. Good story.
And talking about CCLP4 is all hypothetical, what if it ends up being an easy concept set? We don't know yet, even if we can probably assume it'll be open to said difficulty ― except I didn't mention anything would be too hard for it anyway ― but Bloblake purposefully showcases a number of things that designers shouldn't do ; encouraging it to be in a CCLP would destroy its purpose.

I believe his argument is hereby invalid. Good points there Rock!

Level 147 is THE hard level and CCLP4 is going to be THE extremely hard levelset! Level 147 in CCLP4 is THE hardest level in a Chips Challenge levelset.
At least make sure level 147 will be 5-star difficulty despite being in CCLP1. It may even be the only 5-star difficulty level.

Why does that have to be the case for CCLP1, a set for people who have never played CC before? IMO 149 should be the hardest.
Actually, why should CCLP1 have 149 levels anyway? 150 is a much nicer number. We don't need to keep doing what CC1 did, especially when this set is supposed to replace it.

Where's J.B when you need him?
Anyway, it has to be 144 or 149 levels, since the original MS Chip's Challenge was programmed to have that many levels. Besides, it's a good number of levels I think.

This is exactly the kind of thinking I said we should avoid. Once again, remember who this set is aimed at. People who don't have MSCC.

People who also can have access to CCLP2 and CCLP3, named as such and constructed as such. CCLP1 doesn't exist, we're making it.
If we want 172 levels in the next one, let's make another series and call it BananaIsland, I have no problem about it, but that's something we'll eventually decide. Formality wins it.

Where's that facepalm smiley, Tom?
Anyhow, again, CCLP4 isn't set again on its goal, we don't know if it'll be THE extremely hard levelset (especially since you can't really build worse than CCLP3 endgame in terms of difficulty). That'll be a community choice, not one tenacious person's choice ― unless everyone else buys it.

I'm just going to through it out there but I honestly really don't want CCLP4 to be like cclp3 at all. And level 147 doesn't necessarily have to be the hardest level of the set. That's up to the staff making it.
