But a CCLP is released usually every year now, and you make a levelset every 3-4 years, so by CCLP6 or 7, if you make a TomP5 it'd be a year out by then! Smiley

At least every two years. We don't have some magical CCLP factory that we can use to just churn out level packs Tongue

^ALL OF THIS. It won't be like CCLP4 will be instantly worked on right after CCLP1 is released (officially) Tongue and from what I'm understanding, the difficulty curve of CCLP4 will be extremely different (as in not harder than CCLP3)

I don't get why we just can't do the best 298 levels in voting and split it into two packs. It would be so much easier that way. Thumbs up

Yeah, I like this idea as well. But then maybe the deadline would have to be extended again, since I'm guessing a lot of people submitted levels with CCLP1 in mind, NOT CCLP4.

Anyway, I think most people would happily agree to an extra few months for submissions in exchange for an early release of CCLP4.

I don't really think this is feasible - for one thing, we as a community seem to be focusing on creating levels specifically for CCLP1 - and we can sure use more quality easy levels. We don't really know what the difficulty range/curve of CCLP4 is going to be, or how that might be determined by people's enjoyment of CCLP1. I think we should focus on one level pack at a time, and if anything, allow even more time after more players and level designers enter the community following CCLP1's release to accept CCLP4 submissions.

I hate the idea. I would be okay with opening the submission process for CCLP4 now. In fact, I have technically already started submitting by publishing geodave4.ccl.
